It's been a bit of time since we've had the opportunity to work with our friends at Jujube, so we jumped at the chance to pair up for this dinner. Fiddlehead Cellars is a premier Central Coast winery focusing on Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Both of those grapes make extremely food friendly wines, and will shine next to Jujube's ecclectic fare.

Blu Seafood and Bar is holding it's NINTH annual Oysters & Bubbles dinner this October. This yearly revelry is a celebration of the best bivalves paired with delicious sparkling wines. We've pulled in a ringer this year, though, as we've invited an old friend to do the pairings and represent Hope Valley Bottle Shop at the dinner. Stepping up to the plate will be the Baron of Bubbles, the Scion of Sparkling, the King of Cava - Laurence O. Vuelta, the one and only Dr. LOV. Laurence will pair up and speak about some of the fantastic Cavas produced by Codorniu winery, and he'll help take the celebrations to another level!

Local 22 is a great Durham neighborhood bistro, serving high quality yet comfortingly simple foods with a focus on ingredients sourced within 30 miles of the restaurant. Casarena Winery is a wonderful Argentine winery that perfectly straddles traditional methods with modern techniques, producing wines of character and place. They will be teaming up on October 20th for a wonderful dinner that will be both elegant and comfortable, familiar and unique, educational and purely pleasurable.
