Saintsbury Wine Dinner

It was a meeting of the minds (and the palates) that launched Saintsbury into the forefront of winemaking innovation. Since 1981, founders Richard Ward and David Graves have led California's Pinot Noir revolution and continue to enhance the state's evolving wine culture with groundbreaking techniques. Join us in the Fairview Dining Room on Wednesday, February 25 for a special Saintsbury Wine Dinner hosted by Gary Bulger, Saintsbury's national sales manager. Executive Chef Jason Cunningham will skillfully create a multi-course dinner perfectly paired with selections from Saintsbury's Carneros and Brown Ranch bottlings.

Artesa Vineyards and Winery Wine Dinner

Set high into a hilltop with panoramic views of Napa Valley, San Francisco Bay and its own estate vineyards, it's easy to see why Artesa is called the Jewel of Carneros. Owned by the Raventos family of Spain, whose winemaking history dates to the mid-sixteenth century, the winery takes its name from the Catalan word for "handcrafted." Today, Artesa focuses on producing small, ultra-premium lots of the varietals for which the Carneros and the Napa Valley are best known. We'll be joined for this dinner by our good friend Laurence O. Vuelta, who represents Artesa in this market. This dinner will focus on the more limited reserve offerings from Aretsa, including two wines that are normally only sold at the winery itself. Chef Amy Tornquist and staff will pair a menu sure to shine with these California classics!

Nana's Early Easter Wine Dinner

For our first Wine Dinner in 2015, we invite you to an Easter Dinner, Nana’s style! For myself, not being very regligious, holidays like this are about the great meals and family time just as much as they are about their religious origins. Here we give you a chance to truly just enjoy the flavors of the season! Scott Howell and staff will put together a menu of some of their favorite variations on the classic foods of Easter. Think of foods like eggs, ham, lamb and chocolate to get you in the right mode. With our dinner falling a week and a half before the holiday, this dinner can serve as an awesome inspiration for your own Easter dinner. Nana’s General Manager Aubrey Zinaich-Howell and I will pair up some of our favorite wines of the spring, each selected to bring the best out of the celebratory dishes Chef Howell creates. So please join us for an early holiday meal with your extended Nana’s and HVBS families!
